What game(s) would you suggest someone to play if they wanted to get to know you better?
This question has been on my mind every second of the day since BS Angel sent out the blog banter e-mail. This is a very good question and honestly I couldn’t seem to come up with a good enough answer that I could justify. Although I do have a few recommendations I couldn’t seem to come up with anything for a good long while. Now if we were talking about music I could give you tons of suggestions. However just about an hour ago I did come up with one.
Persona 3… Now I know what your all thinking “fuckin figures, he’s addicted to that shit” well thanks to this question I found out a new reason for my addiction to this title. In P3, you take on the role of a high school kid just discovering his powers to fight the darkness that is slowly taking the lives of others. No, I don’t believe that I have some special power in which it takes me pulling the trigger to my own head to force it out, its because in this game you have to balance life along with all your personal demons. Every day I wake up is a good one, I admit, but not all of them are something that I look forward to. Things happen to us all and we really have no understanding for them, this I know all too well. Case in point with Persona 3, you have a handful of kids that all have this power, they really don’t understand why they are chosen nor do they really know where they came from, but they use them to help others, even if it means their lives. From day to day I always have some struggle that I need to overcome while trying my best to continue on with my life. Usually I am not the one to tell anyone else my problems, I keep them inside (Persona) and it usually takes an act of God to get them out (Evoker) all this wrapped up with the fact that I have to balance college, work, and home life to keep it all knit together. A lot of the times it is taxing, both mentally and physically, and because I have been through so much in my life (power) I seem to be a savior of sorts for others. For all the issues I have and however big of an asshole I may be. Those that are close to me turn to me first when something is wrong. Come to me when they have problems or just need advice… I know! Fuckin Weird!! But this is the way it is. I never understood why I always have to be going through something. Never understood why the rain never stops pouring on me, but as I fill these pages I seem to be uncovering a new truth about myself…. Kinda weird aint it????
My apologizes for it not being longer or more in depth I have been really sick lately and its getting the best of me....Welcome, welcome to the 3rd installment of Blog Banter, the monthly blogging extravaganza headed by bs angel! Persona 3?
That game got rave reviews on the PS2.
I plan on getting one in the summer.
Its kinda hard to find that game in stores these days.
Your article wasbfull of a lot of personal insight. While you apologized for it being short (which it was perfect in length I thought), it went rather deep. I find it fascinating how certain games like that can reflect so much into who we are and the lives that we lead.
Interesting game, though I'd never heard of it until now.
Sorry it took me a while to drop by and read up on your post. Hope you're doing better now.
